Butter Beans with Sage and Parmesan

1/4 cup
Extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon
Fresh garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon
Fresh sage, chopped
2, 14.28 ounce cans
Carmelina Brands® Italian Butter Beans, rinsed and drained
To taste
Kosher salt
To taste
Black pepper
1 tablespoon
Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

 

In a medium sauté pan, heat oil over medium heat.  Add garlic and sage, and sauté for a minute to release aromatics.  Add Carmelina Brands® Italian Butter Beans, and season with salt and pepper to taste; stir to combine.  Continue to sauté the bean mixture for a few minutes, stirring occasionally to let the flavors blend together.  Remove beans from heat and garnish with Parmesan cheese.  Serve warm. Makes the perfect side dish with roasted turkey, chicken or grilled shrimp.  Buon Appetito!
