Avocado Hummus Dip

Avocado Hummus Dip

2, 14.28 oz cans
Carmelina Brands® Italian Garbanzos (Ceci), drained
2 each
Ripe, large avocados, chopped
3 ounces
Freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 tablespoons
Fresh cilantro, chopped
1/4 teaspoon
Tapatio or tabasco
1 1/2 teaspoons
Sea salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper
Assortment of vegetables, washed and sliced for dipping (celery, jicama, carrots and fennel bulbs)

In a food processor, add Carmelina Brands® Italian Garbanzos, avocado, lemon juice, cilantro, tabasco, salt and pepper. Blend ingredients until smooth and creamy.  Use a rubber spatula to scrape down the ingredients from the side of the bowl if they get stuck to the sides or bottom.  Check the texture and seasoning of the Avocado Hummus Dip, and adjust as needed. Spoon Avocado Hummus Dip into an attractive serving bowl, and serve with an assortment of vegetables.  Mangia bene!

Tip: Use as a sandwich spread, on crackers, or as a dip with pita or tortilla chips. Change up the flavor profile by adding different seasonings like, cumin, garlic powder or more hot sauce.
