Carmelina Fudgy Chickpea Brownies

1, 14.28 oz can
Carmelina Brands® Italian Chickpeas (Garbanzos), rinsed and drained
1/2 cup
Almond Butter (creamy)
3/4 cup
Agave Sweetener (or Maple Monkfruit Syrup)
1 Tablespoon
Canola Oil (or Coconut Oil)
2 teaspoons
Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup
Almond Flour
1/2 cup
Cocoa Powder
1/4 teaspoon
Baking Soda
1/4 teaspoon
Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon
3/4 cup + garnish
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8” x 8” brownie pan; set aside.  In a food processor, blend together Carmelina Brands® Italian Chickpeas (Garbanzos), almond butter, Lakanto maple syrup, oil and vanilla. Blend until ingredients are well incorporated. Add in almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.  Blend again until ingredients are incorporated, and the mixture is smooth and creamy. Scrape down sides of bowl if needed. Pour brownie mixture into a medium bowl and fold in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips.  Pour mixture evenly into an 8” x 8” greased brownie pan.  Sprinkle with additional chocolate chips as desired. Bake in 350°F oven for 20 – 25 minutes.
