Our Packaging
The packaging selected by Mangia, Inc. is the result of a conscious and strategic choice, aimed at ensuring high standards of environmental sustainability, safety and logistics optimization throughout the supply chain.
Ours is a rigorous approach, it allows us to establish reliable and proactive supply relationships, capable of supporting our environmental and safety commitment and constantly innovating towards more efficient and eco-friendly packaging.
The materials used metal, cardboard, paper, plastic and wood are selected not only for their technical properties (recyclability, resistance, safety) but also according to strict sustainability criteria. In particular, we evaluate our suppliers for the transparency of their sourcing practices, environmental material certifications and their commitment to social responsibility and continuous improvement.
The metal is extremely efficient, safe, BFA and PFAS free, infinitely recyclable, impact resistant. Its ability to maintain product properties without the need for refrigeration also allows energy savings of up to 70% across the entire supply chain.
Glass, which can also be recycled countless times, is safe and chemically inert, ensuring maximum protection of the contents without altering its organoleptic or chemical characteristics.
The cartons used are highly recyclable, eco-friendly, composed mainly of FSC-certified virgin fibers and post-consumer materials, without the addition of polluting chemicals. The labels are also in line with our sustainability criteria: they are made from recycled paper, from certified sources and printed with eco-friendly inks. As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental footprint, we are dedicated to ensuring that our cartons and labels are made from post-consumer waste (PCW) materials. This not only helps in reducing landfill waste but also supports the recycling industry.
As for plastic, it is fully recyclable and comes from recycled materials, thus reducing our impact on the environment and promoting the circular economy.
The wood used for our pallets, fumigated according to ISPM 15 international standards, plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of products during transport, while avoiding the spread of pests during trade.
Thanks to this integrated and responsible approach, through the targeted selection of materials and suppliers, Mangia, Inc. confirms its commitment to a responsible, sustainable and constantly evolving packaging model.
