President & CEO Message
Mangia, Inc’s ambitious sustainability path pursues the goal of growing by combining industrial capacity and spreading Italian flavors beyond Europe with environmental, social and economic sustainability, thus protecting the environment and nutritional resources, promoting a better quality of life and work for people and supporting communities and territories of reference.
We are aware of the challenges and opportunities that our company will have to face.
In our sustainability path, the history of closeness to the territories and communities that have always characterized our company find space and enhancement, but also many new and important projects in the social and environmental field defined by the Mangia Inc Sustainability Plan: a Plan built within the framework of the cooperative principles and values that are the basis of our company’s actions, as well as the ONU 2030 Agenda.
Through the Sustainability Plan, Mangia Inc has set new goals for its growth and affirmation, giving consistency to the actions carried out so far and continuing in a strategic evolution towards alignment with the best practices in the sector, helping to generate positive impacts on territories and communities, while respecting people and the environment.
In the awareness that today sustainability, in addition to being a response to the environmental and social problems of our time, has become a strategic choice for companies. It is for this reason that from our point of view, Sustainability is an element of differentiation on the market, a tool for the affirmation of ethical principles, an opportunity to innovate processes and approaches towards a positive impact, a fundamental channel of discussion with all our stakeholders.
Through this manifesto, we are committed to being transparent to all our stakeholders by talking about our vision, objectives and projects in which we proudly take part, with the possibility of comparing the results that will be achieved over time.
As our generations evolve in favor of a more sustainable future, we believe at our core that these practices will make a positive impact on the planet and set a benchmark in the industry for Doing More Good.

President & CEO of Mangia Inc.

Sector Commitments and Challenges
The Agri-food sector is facing a wide range of challenges with significant environmental, social and economic impacts.
In a global context marked by numerous crises from the COVID-19 pandemic to climate change to economic shocks and rising inequalities several areas such as food security, sustainable agriculture and nutrition are experiencing a lockdown in sustainable development.
To make agri-food systems more resilient to shocks and stresses, addressing these challenges is crucial. According to the FAO report, automation in agri-food systems can help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Without technological progress and increased productivity, lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty, hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition is an insurmountable task. It is essential to ensure that the automation of production processes takes place in an inclusive, responsible and sustainable way.
Climate change affects many sectors and agriculture is among the most vulnerable. In fact, there is a close correlation between agriculture and climate: the agricultural sector generates climate risks and, at the same time, strongly suffers from the impacts of climate change. Rising temperatures and higher concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are compromising crop yields and crop quality in many areas of the world.
The availability of water resources and the proliferation of plant pests are also affected by climate change, which has repercussions on agricultural production. In addition, geographical variations in cultivation patterns are radically changing planting and harvesting strategies. Actions have been launched to transfer knowledge and skills to suppliers and farmers, promoting good sustainability practices and a responsible use of natural resources, enhancing biodiversity to counteract the negative effects on crops.
